Plate Rolling & Heavy Fabrication Division

Through its integrated Plate Rolling & Heavy Fabrication Division, American Alloy Steel now offers in-house rolled and tack welded cylinders, and/or rolled and fully welded cylinders, along with other custom formed shapes. This, combined with one of North America’s largest plate inventories, helps to better service our customers.

FACILITY CAPACITY -

Multiple mechanical and hydraulic plate rolls Cold rolling to 5″ thick, hot rolling to 8″ thick

  • Diameters from 24″ ID
  • Rolled cylinders to 168″ lengths (single course)

Ten (10) dual wire sub arc longitudinal / circumferential welding stations Hot forming, normalizing, stress relieving furnaces

  • 14″ x 51″ car bottom – 1700 degree F maximum
  • 10″ x 16″ sled bottom – 1850 degree F maximum

Carbon, Carbon Moly, Chrome Moly, Stainless steel, high strength/low Alloy, and Clad plate, with qualified welding procedures.
ASME U, U2, S (parts only) and PED certified
