TUF 37 (Vacuum Degassed)

American Alloy Steel’s TUF-37 is available in SA 516 55, SA 516 60, SA 516 65 and SA 516 70. It is produced in the normalized condition and is vacuum degassed and calcium treated for sulfide shape control. Stringent adherence to chemistries helps keep the Carbon Equivalent (CEQ) in the .37 – .40 range. TUF 37 grades of SA 516 Gr 60 and SA 516 Gr 70 are more commonly used in pressure vessel applications in refinery, chemical, and other power generating applications.
