Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate

American Alloy Steel is pleased to offer the following proprietary formulations of Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate (AR Steel Plate) with superior forming, welding and wear characteristics. This steel plate, with it's high Brinell Hardness ( BHN ) ratings, is particularly suited to the mining equipment, earth moving equipment, ore and aggregate processing, road building equipment manufacturing and fabrication industries, and rifle range silhouette targets, target backstops and bullet trap applications.

Standard AR Steel Plate Grades

AA-200 Steel Plate (AR200)
3/16 inch through 1-1/2 inch thick in 72 inch and 120 inch widths.

AA-400 Steel Plate (AR400)
3/16 inch through 2 inches thick in 72 inch, 96 inch and 120 inch widths.

AA-500 Steel Plate (AR500)
1/4 inch through 1-1/2 inches thick in 72 inch and 120 inch widths.

AMERIWEAR and AMERITUF premium grade AR (abrasion resistant) steel wear plates are produced with a special process utilizing electric furnaces, ladle refining, ultra low sulfur content, vacuum degassing, fine grain practice and calcium treatment for inclusion shape control, resulting in alloy steel wear plates with unsurpassed abrasion resistant steel qualities.
